Emergency lighting systems are required by law (IS:3217:2013:NSAI) to have a maintenance contract in place. It is the responsibility of the landlord/occupier/management of the building to ensure that the emergency lighting system is maintained in accordance with the standards at set periods of time which the current Irish Emergency Lighting standard requires that a simulated mains power failure be carried out on the premises, every three months.
Each visit will include:
- Quarterly visit: A mains power failure simulated for 30 minutes
- 1 annual visit: A mains power failure simulated for three hours
Our engineer will inspect the premises and determine that all emergency lighting and lamps are operational and illuminating for the duration of the test.
